Studio Policies
Clear terms, kindly held.
These policies protect your appointment time and mine, and keep the studio a calm, safe and unrushed place to be.
Deposits
- A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve every appointment and is applied to the balance of your service on the day.
- Deposits are $100 for permanent makeup services, $75 for touch-ups and $50 for lamination.
- The remaining balance is due at the end of your appointment. Cash, card, Zelle and Venmo are accepted.
Rescheduling & cancellation
- Please give at least 72 hours’ notice to reschedule. Your deposit transfers once, to a date within 90 days.
- Cancellations or changes inside 72 hours forfeit the deposit, as the time cannot realistically be refilled.
- No-shows forfeit the deposit and require full prepayment to book again.
Lateness
- A 15-minute grace period is held for every appointment.
- Arriving more than 15 minutes late may mean your session is shortened or rescheduled as a no-show, since each appointment is booked as a single unbroken block.
Guests, children & pets
- The studio is a private, single-client space with limited seating and clinical surfaces.
- Please attend alone. Children and pets cannot be accommodated during procedures.
Who is not a candidate
- Pregnant or nursing, or under 18 years of age.
- Currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiation, or immunocompromised without physician clearance.
- Accutane use within the past 12 months.
- Uncontrolled diabetes, a bleeding disorder, or blood-thinning medication without physician clearance.
- Active skin conditions, keloid scarring history, or an active cold sore in the lip area.
- Botox or filler in the treatment area within the last four weeks.
Results & retention
- Permanent makeup is a two-step process. The complimentary perfecting session at six to eight weeks is part of your service, not optional.
- Results vary with skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure and skincare. Oily skin and active acid use will fade faster.
- Retention cannot be guaranteed when aftercare instructions are not followed.
- Existing work from another artist requires a photo review and may need correction pricing.
Health & safety
- All needles, cartridges and implements are single-use and disposed of after every client.
- Surfaces are barrier filmed and disinfected to clinical standards between appointments.
- The artist is a licensed body art practitioner registered with San Mateo County and annually certified in bloodborne pathogens.
